Day out at the National Gallery

Travel Date: Aug 20, 2016

Today I went to the National Gallery, it is located in Trafalgar Square. To get there we took the Piccadilly line and got off at Piccadilly Circus. From there we walked to the museum. My family and I go there about once a month to see different paintings, you cannot see the whole museum in one day if you want to truly enjoy the museum. The great part is museum is always free and everybody is welcome there. Today we spent time in the 16th century paintings area on level 2. My favorite area was the Italian section in rooms 6, 8, and 9. Paintings included one from Michelangelo which was interesting since it was unfinished. We had a little time to also check out a special exhibition showing paintings of flowers. The exhibition is called Dutch Flowers and it is open until August 29th 2016.

One tip is right next store to the National Gallery is the National Portrait Museum.

One great part about the museum is the entrance. It overlooks a great view of Trafalgar Square and in the distance you can see Big Ben.

My Day out at Chessington World of Adventures

Travel Date: Aug 18th, 2016

I went to Chessington World of Adventures with my family and friends for a day out. I recommend Chessington World of Adventures as an amazing theme park if you ever travel to London. This is a great place to go for the day, and close to central London.

At the theme park there are rides, animals, shows and restaurants. For older children there is the Monkey swing, Cobra, Dragon falls, and The Vampire. All of these rides were a lot of fun. One warning for Cobra is that it is quite scary, if you don't like like to spin I do not recommend the ride. For younger kids they should go on rides like Tiny truckers, temple of mayhem, and Griffins galleon. I went on Temple of Mayhem and even I had a lot of fun! Although there are many great restaurants my family and I ended up bring our own lunch.

There is also a new live show called Penguins of Madagascar Operation Cheezy Dibbles and it is a good show for kids. My favorite part was at the end when Dave the Octopus turned into a tiny squid in a snow globe. There is singing and dancing.
